Septic Tanks

A septic tank is used in the absence of a mains drainage system.

Simply explained, a septic tank is a single or multi-chambered tank system that utilises a simple gravity method to separate liquid and solid waste.

The process causes the waste flow to produce a “scum” layer, made up of lighter solids including oil and grease to float to the surface and heavier solids to sink to the bottom creating a “sludge” layer. Any remaining liquid then flows out of the tank into a septic soakaway or drainage field.

Our systems are designed to allow the naturally occurring, waste-degrading bacterial process to take place within a 2-stage tank system before effluent is discharged.

Duo Septic Tank System

  • 2 - stage settlement tanks for the decomposition of waste water, in 7 capacity sizes.

    ▪ For safe effluent discharge to drainage fields in the absence of mains drainage.

    ▪ An innovative modular design constructed in lightweight, rotationally moulded HDPE.

    ▪ Low profile design, ideal for shallow excavation.

    ▪ Pedestrian rated access/inspection covers are included as standard.

    ▪ Pipe inverts can be increased with conventional manhole risers.

    ▪ A sampling chamber is available as an optional extra.

  • Application Note:

Septic tanks require the removal of accumulated controlled waste for environmental disposal by registered waste carriers as per Environmental Agency guidelines.
